Confused over cables?

Confused with Cables Graphic

All of our E-Stim power boxes come with heavy duty 3.5mm output sockets. The other end of any cable is depending on what you want to connect your e-stim controller too. The basic rule of thumb is you need two connection points for sensation to flow, a single connection is simply not going to work. How you connect an electrode (or electrodes) up is were all the fun comes from.

To help all of our Electrodes in our webstore are marked with a symbol to indicate what sockets they have.

2mm/TENS Cables

2mm TENS plug CableAll of our power boxes are suppled with cables fitted with 2mm/TENS plugs, this allowed you to use the sticky pad electrodes that come as standard with all of our power boxes. They also allow you to use TENS style electrodes from other manufacturers. Electrodes that need a cable with a 2mm/TENS plug will be marked

4mm Cable

4mm Cable

Our Bipolar electrodes generally use a 4mm socket, so you have a choice between the standard 4mm cable, and the 4mm Low Profile Cable mentioned below. Electrodes with 4mm Sockets will be marked with  4mm Sockets

Low Profile Cable

4mm Low Profile CableThe Low Profile cable is useful if you are planning to sit on your electrode while its inserted. Still the same 3.5mm plug on the other end to connect to any of our E-Stim Power Units. Electrodes with 4mm Sockets will be marked with  4mm Sockets

The BiCable

Bi CableThis is where things get interesting. If you are intending to use two electrodes with a mixture of sockets, say the head of an insertable together with a sticky pad, or some compination with monopole electrodes then you will need a BiCable, this is a cable with one 4mm plug and a second 2mm/TENS plug. The variations can get very interesting.

TriPhase Cable Set

TriPhase Cable

If you thought the BiCable was interesting, then the TriPhase Cable takes it to the next stage. TriPhase combines the outputs into what some describe as 3D sensations, as the signals combine to provide more interesting stimulation - we love it so much we even have a dedicated electrode range to use it, the Tripple Electrodes, but other electrodes can be used in combination with a TriPhase cable - the variations are very very interesting. Most Electrodes can be used with a TriPhase cable.

The TriPhase Cable Set comes with a set of 4mm to 2mm Adaptors so you can use any combination of 4mm and 2mm plugs.
