What is an expert?

We have been building e-stim for 21 years, if we add up our combined experience across the staff and our test team we are into 100s of years. But every day we learnt something new. A new technique and new idea. E-stim is not something that stands still. Does it make us an expert? Nope, but we do have some experience, let me share a few ideas for you to take your play that one stage further.
The Family Tree
The original Series 1 became the ElectroHelix. The ElectroHelix mated with another ElectroHelix and created the dual channel ElectroPebble. An ElectroHelix ran away to join the circus and became the original E-Stim Remote. One of the classic E-Stim Remotes even wanted to appear on TV and appeared in multiple Big Brothers and other TV shows where shocking contestants was the norm - but we don’t talk about that. The original ABox was a Series 1 who was into music. The ABox Mk2 is its updated sibling. You get where all this is going?
Along the way we hit upon the idea that channel isolation was important for safety, and we wanted something with more options. These ideas became the Series 2, then the 2B. There is a big different in the way the 2B works compared to to any other of our offerings, this is why the 2B will feel different. It is by design. We like being different.
We are not the same as others

Some people seem to think all e-stim should feel the same. Well at least everything should feel and respond like the venerable ET312. Well guess what? We didn’t build a cloned ET312 we left that to others. We used the basic idea of electricity can be stimulating and worked from there. The result is something completely different to anything else on the market.
Why does it feel different - because we are different
We created something that worked for us, the way we play. Then we brought friends into the mix and worked on what they enjoyed. Because we have a wide mixture of people in our test team we created something that worked with a wide range of users and in a wider range of play scenes. This meant that you might not feel something until it hits 20%, others feel it at 6% - or might enjoy one mode but find another simply irritation - it is because we are all different.
Experiment

Right from the start our advice is to experiment. E-stim play is something that evolves and will feel different depending on how you use it. And there are so many variables. From electrodes, to electro position, you mood, your level of hydration, the temperature of the room will all have some bearing on the sensations and your reaction to them and that is before you add gel and start to play around with the modes and levels.
Try different modes, different levels different settings. The most important control is not level, trying to max out a box should not be your goal, instead expand your experiences by seeing how many different sensations you can generate just from playing with the controls.
Swap
What ever you use in terms of electrodes, try swamping positions and moving things around, even something simple like swapping the back and yellow connections over may give you a different sensation. Our power box outputs are not symmetrical so in certain situations you might feel things shifted towards one electrode or contact over the other. This is by design as it gives you more options and we are all seeking out new options and opportunities to explore.
E-Stim is not for everyone, at least not at first. In the same way not everyone has a sweet tooth. But it can offer something for many people depending on how you use it. It does take patience, research and experimentation
Play across the chest can be done

Ooooo controversial topic. When it comes to safety we harp on almost constantly about play below the waist and don’t play across the chest. We always advocate for safe play. We have to we are a business and loosing the odd customer due to safety issues is simply not good business.
But you can play about the waist IF you known what you are doing, and have the right equipment. The key is to avoid passing current across the chest, and more specifically though the heart. Now we generally don’t operate at the levels that would cause an issue, especially as we are working with current outside the skin so levels are automatically reduced, but there is an increased risk if you pass current across the heart. Would I personally take it? No that is why we developed a two channel unit with ISOLATED channels - the 2B, and devices like the Bipolar E-Clips. SO don't put one pad on one nipple and one on the other, but a 2B with one channel across one nipple and the other channel across the other nipple is effective and safe.
Other ideas to try
Sounding
Sounding is one of those fetish play ideas that personally scares me. Add in e-stim to make it more intense and you really have a mind blowing and scary situation We are working on a sounding guide with input from a number of experienced players. But the basic advice check all your instruments for nicks and scratches before use, keep everything scrupulously clean, use sterile single use lubes, (normal lube is not sterile once out has been opened) be be aware the urethral tract has the consistence of wet tissue paper - it is very delicate, and lastly take things easy. MicroSounds and our Penis Plugs are small for exactly this a reason.
Combinations and Mixing styles
Don’t mix violet wands and e-stim. It will only end in tears ass the VW kills the e-stem unit with the excessive high voltages.
Mixing styles of play is something we do. From impact play - spanking with an ABox is fun, to using vibrations and e-stim.
Multiple boxes
You can use multiple boxes at the same time. Our record is 4, we know people who use 6 2Bs in their play. 6 might be a little excessive for many, but more than one is more common than you might think. If units are battery operated then there is no issue with isolation, they are effectively isolated. Try to avoid connecting units together - some of the output circuits might not like being driven by others units.
Triphase
Triphase seems to have multiple meaning to the Facebook experts, But for us it’s basically combining two outputs to produce combinations. As waveforms interact you end up with a sensation that can move from side to side, move around electro positions and more
Share and Play
Share you experiences with others. In Real Life try to find a partner to control you, the building of trust can be incorporated into many scenes. Talk to others. We run a user support forum which is ideal for people to share ideas and experiences, but social media can also have its uses - places like Fetlife also have areas for people to chat and exchange advice and even meet up.
If you cannot play in real life then who not consider remote play? The e-stim remote doesn’t quite have the range, but the 2B together with e-stim connect can and does offer play across the world, anywhere you have internet connectivity.
Audio files
Many people love playing with audio files. All of our audio units were created to work with standard music files as we loved playing with real music. Standard stereo stim files sound like something from the 1990s dialup, and certainly not something that is pleasant to hear.
Session files
Did you know the 2B has a facility to record your sessions via Commander, but did you also know you can not only share such session files with others but you can also create your own.
Beta Firmware
The 2B is upgradable. If you visit the forum and join the developers section (it sounds technical but you just need 3 posts to join) then you can access the latest cutting edge firmware for your 2B and take things to the next level. From new modes with expanded ranges to new ways of processing audio, output mappings and more the beta firmware is a place for real experimentation - and it’s free.
Now it is your turn
